The Regional Level Centenary Commemoration of the Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá was held on 29th November 2021 at Bahai Shanglen. Ghari. Initially the plan was to commemorate on the day itself that is 27th November 2021 but due to state wide bandh it was postponed to 29th.
On the day the commemoration was held, a book stall was opened up. A small booklet was distributed. Hand painted Prayer cards and Holy Writing cards prepared by the children and junior youths, especially for the commemoration, were also distributed. Various Baha’i books, both English and Manipuri, were made available for purchase and also for gifting.
A small exhibit was also open. It consisted of photos and write-ups related to the significance of the day of Ascension of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá and His station.
The commemoration program consisted of prayers, reading out of selected Writings of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, story narration and presentation of songs, a talk on the significance of the day, screening of the film Exemplar dubbed in Manipuri, and much more.
