A Quotation by Baha’u’llah says, “Do not be content with showing friendship in words alone, let your heart burn with loving kindness for all who may cross your path.”
This Quotation was put into music and sung by a youth from Gwalior, in Hindi, in preparation for the Centenary year. He has dedicated this to the life of Abdu’l Baha.
A Baha’i from Gwalior wrote, composed and sang these songs in commemoration of the centenary of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’. These songs are a musical tribute to the Beloved Master.
The lyrics of the same are given below. The original song is in Hindi, and it has been translated into English for better understanding.
English Translation :
Since we’ve known you
Since we’ve recognised you
To walk on your footsteps,
We all have decided.
Oh My Dear Abdu’l Baha
Show us the way
What if we go astray?
Let’s not forget
That love is to share.
We have trust in you
That’s all we know.
Oh My Dear Abdu’l Baha
As a servant of Baha
You’ve come to this Earth
With a firm determination
To transform the human heart
Through the power of speech,
To serve the Cause
Oh My Dear Abdu’l Baha
English Translation :
The lamp of the Covenant
Is the light of the world.
And the Holy Word
Is a boundless ocean.
We belong to the Lord, and the Lord belongs to us.
Never hate anyone
Never hurt anyone
If someone makes a mistake
Forgive them again and again.
We belong to the Lord, and the Lord belongs to us.
Good thoughts in the mind
Turn them into deeds.
Never consider yourself weak
Look, God is powerful.
We belong to the Lord, and the Lord belongs to us.
Do not see the evil,
Do not see the demerits
Pray that they have attributes of the Omnipotent.
By God’s grace, may the weak become strong.
We belong to the Lord, and the Lord belongs to us.
